Hell Bubble

Coming to terms with my fears.

Hell Bubble

Somewhere outside this sphere there are noises
of angry screaming, cussing, hurting sounds
which are coiled serpents dripping poisons
which are airless spaces where I will drown.
Somewhere outside this circle  there is pain
where tortured people find someone to hurt
contagious hatred drives each one insane
each person grinds the other into dirt.
I feel that I must preserve this bubble;
smooth the fragile shell from penetration
for if I allow the smallest trouble,
then comes immolation, conflagration
Rising, Dragon, Phoenix from my downfall
king of demons, I will destroy them all.
